CBGB

CBGB was more than a music venue—it was the birthplace of American punk and one of the most influential clubs in the history of popular music. From the mid-1970s onward, artists including the Ramones, Patti Smith, Television, Blondie, Talking Heads, Richard Hell, Dead Boys and countless others transformed a small Bowery club into the epicenter of a cultural revolution.

This collection brings together museum-quality photographs documenting the artists, performances and defining moments that shaped the CBGB legacy. Featuring works by photographers who witnessed the scene firsthand, these images preserve the visual history of the club that forever changed the sound and spirit of rock music.
