About the Work

The Ramones photographed performing at CBGB in New York City in 1976 by Roberta Bayley. Captured at the legendary Bowery club that became the epicenter of the American punk movement, this image documents the band during the formative years of their career.

Originally produced as a Cibachrome Print circa 1990, this photograph was conceived as a limited edition of 25 prints. However, only five prints were ultimately produced, making it significantly rarer than the announced edition.

Printed using the renowned Cibachrome (Ilfochrome) process, celebrated for its exceptional color saturation, image permanence, and archival quality, this work represents an important early color print from the photographer's archive.
