At the end of the first album session, Jerry Dammers asked for one last group shot on an abandoned, decaying boat in the Canal Basin, "positively beaming at the camera." He kept a print, saying it might be useful later.

A year later, when Chalkie Davies asked about the back cover of the second album, Dammers replied: "We already did the back." The photograph became the back cover of More Specials (1980).
