About this work

The Kinks photographed by Barrie Wentzell in 1972.

By the early 1970s Ray Davies had turned the band away from the singles that made their name and towards the theatrical concept records of the period. Wentzell photographed them repeatedly for Melody Maker across a decade in which they remained, more than almost any of their contemporaries, a distinctly English proposition.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
