Inquire About This WorkPete Townshend photographed by Barrie Wentzell at his flat near Victoria Station, London, in 1968, in the failing light of a winter afternoon.
Wentzell had come with the Melody Maker writer Chris Welch to interview Townshend, who spoke about art, his teacher Meher Baba, and an idea he was developing for a concept album about a deaf, dumb and blind boy. Neither visitor was convinced the subject could work. The record became Tommy, and the most successful thing The Who ever made.
Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
