About this work

After Elvis Costello played a Rock Against Racism concert on Clapham Common, Chalkie Davies and Nick Lowe were walking to the Tube when a van pulled up, its back doors opened, and they climbed in with Costello and the Attractions.

The photograph, made inside the van, became the cover of Nick Lowe's compilation 16 All Time Lowes.

Photograph by Chalkie Davies. Available as a print signed by the artist. Sizes, edition details and price on request.
