About this work

Mick Jagger photographed by Barrie Wentzell at the Rolling Stones office in Mayfair, London, in 1968.

The session accompanied a Melody Maker article on musicians and business, for which Jagger — a former student of the London School of Economics — was the obvious subject. Wentzell spent an afternoon photographing him at a desk performing the gestures of commerce. Both men found the premise faintly ridiculous, and the singer's expression records it.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
