About the Work
An original contact sheet from Mick Rock’s Lou Reed session for Transformer, preserving the photographer’s working sequence of frames from which the album’s imagery was selected.
Mick Rock — “the man who shot the seventies” — held rare, sustained access to the era’s defining artists, from David Bowie and Lou Reed to Iggy Pop and Queen. This piece belongs to a group of unique vintage prints from his personal archive held by The Music Photo Gallery.
This is an original vintage contact sheet, a unique gelatin silver print measuring 8 × 10 inches, hand-annotated and stamped by the photographer on the verso. No other copy of this print is known.
