About this work

Leonard Cohen photographed by Barrie Wentzell in 1974.

Cohen came to London that year in support of New Skin for the Old Ceremony, the fourth of his records and the one on which his writing turned most sharply inward. Wentzell photographs him in a quiet register that suits the work — the poet and novelist who had come to songwriting late and reluctantly.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
