About this work

Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake & Palmer photographed by Barrie Wentzell on the band's United States tour in 1973.

The Brain Salad Surgery tour was among the largest productions of the period, carrying some thirty tons of equipment including a rotating piano and a full quadraphonic system. Emerson's stage manner — attacking the keyboards, wrestling the organ across the boards — made him one of the more photographable musicians of the decade.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
