About this work

Johnny Cash photographed in England by Barrie Wentzell.

Cash toured Britain across the period in which Wentzell was working, in the years following the prison recordings at Folsom and San Quentin that had made him a figure far beyond country music. Wentzell photographed him for Melody Maker, a paper whose coverage extended well outside the rock press of the day.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
