About this work

John Lennon and Paul McCartney photographed together by Barrie Wentzell in 1967.

1967 was the year The Beatles withdrew from the stage and became a studio band. Wentzell photographs the two songwriters in close conversation at a microphone, in the working partnership that had by then produced almost the whole of their catalogue and had perhaps two more years to run.
