About this work

Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull photographed by Barrie Wentzell from the front of the stage at Wembley Arena, London, in 1973.

Wentzell has said he liked working at Wembley: the stage and the access were good, and the lighting was better than most venues of the period allowed. He considered this frame — Anderson mid-performance with his flute, a figure he called the Pied Piper shot — among his best of the band, and believes it ran on the cover of Melody Maker.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
