About this work

Made around the time of King of America. The session was finished when Elvis Costello asked to try one more idea: "If there is one thing Elvis Costello has in spades it's enthusiasm."

He changed into a bright yellow coat, and Chalkie Davies asked him to jump. In the last frames Costello flung his arms wide. "To me it sums up EC perfectly." The photograph ran as a double-page spread in The Face.
