Dick James Music had asked Wentzell to photograph a singer and pianist they had signed, and the following day the musician arrived at his studio. Wentzell has recalled that he looked nothing like a pop star — quiet, unassuming, entirely ordinary. Within two years he was among the largest performers in the world.
