The producer and engineer Eddy Offord photographed with Yes by Barrie Wentzell in 1972.

Offord worked alongside the band throughout their most ambitious period, engineering and co-producing the records that culminated in Close to the Edge. Photographs of the technical side of the studio are far less common than those of the musicians, which gives frames like this one a documentary value beyond the portrait.
