About this work

Lee Brilleaux of Dr Feelgood, photographed from about two feet away at the Hope and Anchor in Islington, one of the small London pubs at the heart of the pub rock scene.

Chalkie Davies rarely used flash at concerts, and only took a few frames here, stopping once he knew he had the picture. He considers Dr Feelgood one of the best live bands he ever saw, and this the best of their shows.
