About this work

After a standard session with Devo in Berlin in 1978, Chalkie Davies persuaded the band to stop at the Brandenburg Gate on the way to the airport and pose there, in a nod to Abbey Road.

Armed guards and blaring loudspeakers unsettled the band, who left quickly. The adrenaline, Davies recalls, was "pretty strong."
