About this work

B.B. King photographed in England by Barrie Wentzell in 1971.

King had spent two decades on the American circuit before British audiences discovered him, largely through the guitarists who had copied his phrasing. By 1971, with The Thrill Is Gone behind him, he was touring Europe to crowds that had come specifically for him rather than for the players he had influenced.

Archival pigment print. Limited edition of 50. Hand-signed and numbered by Barrie Wentzell. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
