Bob Gruen photographed Joey Ramone, Linda Stein, David Bowie, Dee Dee Ramone, Danny Fields and Vera Ramone at the Mudd Club in March 1979. The group portrait brings together key figures from the New York music and downtown scenes at a venue synonymous with the city’s late-1970s cultural underground.
