About this work

Devo in their yellow industrial jumpsuits, photographed in color by Chris Stein. The Ohio band's de-evolution concept turned uniformity into spectacle, and Stein's frame captures the deadpan theatre at the heart of their act.

Working in color, Stein registers the band's flattened, plastic palette — a look engineered to read as anti-rock and anti-glamour at once.

Open Edition. Archival pigment print produced directly from the original color transparency, on premium cotton photographic paper. Certificate of Authenticity included. Worldwide insured shipping.
