About the photograph
Barry Schultz photographed Debbie Harry backstage in a small dressing room after Blondie’s performance at the Starwood Club in Los Angeles in April 1978. The intimate color portrait captures Harry during the year Blondie released Parallel Lines and moved from the punk and new wave underground into international prominence.
