About this work

Debbie Harry at Coney Island, 1977, photographed in color by Chris Stein. Away from the clubs of Manhattan, the faded seaside amusement park gives the picture a very different texture — pop glamour set against peeling paint and open sky.

Stein often took Harry out of the expected settings. These excursions produced some of his warmest images, where the icon relaxes into the ordinary pleasures of a day out.

Open Edition. Archival pigment print produced directly from the original color transparency, on premium cotton photographic paper. Certificate of Authenticity included. Worldwide insured shipping.
