Bryan Ferry photographed by Martyn Goddard at his Chelsea flat for the Sunday Telegraph Magazine in the early 1980s, the Roxy Music frontman in soft light, every inch the art-school romantic who reinvented the pop star as a study in cool.

Goddard spent time with Ferry and Roxy Music in London and Rome during this period, and his portraits from the sessions catch the singer's studied, unhurried elegance.
