About this work

AC/DC photographed by Martyn Goddard on a London street in 1976, during the Bon Scott-era residency at the Marquee Club that broke the band in Britain. Angus Young sizes up the camera in his schoolboy cap while the rest of the group loiter against a shuttered shopfront, a gig poster pasted on the wall beside them.

Shot as the Australian five-piece were turning a sweaty Wardour Street club into one of the most talked-about live tickets in the city, it catches the scruffy confidence of a band on the verge of everything.

Produced as museum-quality archival pigment prints from the original transparency, each print is individually signed by Martyn Goddard and released in strictly limited editions.
