Rocky Horror by Mick Rock

Mick Rock was invited by director Jim Sharman to photograph the making of The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1974. With unusual access to the production, Rock photographed both the filming itself and the cast in specially arranged portraits, creating an intimate visual record of a film that would become a global cult phenomenon.

The resulting archive occupies a distinctive place within Rock’s career. It extends the theatricality, intimacy and visual transformation that defined his work with Bowie, Queen and the glam era into the world of cinema.
