David Corio is a British photographer whose career began in 1978, documenting musicians for New Musical Express, The Face, Time Out and other leading publications. His archive spans punk, reggae, soul, jazz, rock and hip-hop, with portraits and live photographs of many of the most influential artists of the late twentieth century.

Working in London and New York, Corio developed a direct and intimate approach to music photography. His images combine the immediacy of photojournalism with a strong sense of character, capturing performers both onstage and away from the spotlight.

This collection brings together fine art photographs from the David Corio archive, selected for their cultural significance and distinctive view of modern music history.
